Allen SEO Services

Allen has a quality that makes it unusual among the cities we work in. It pulls far more people in than it sends out.

The Premium Outlets off Highway 121 draw shoppers from three counties. The Event Center seats 7,500 and runs hockey, concerts and shows most of the year. Watters Creek pulls a dinner crowd that does not live in Allen. Eagle Stadium, the eighteen thousand seat high school football venue that got written about nationally when it was built, fills on Friday nights with people from all over. The Allen USA Celebration draws something like a hundred thousand people in a single weekend.

For a local business, that is a lot of strangers with phones, standing inside your city, searching for something.

Capturing traffic that is not yours yet

Here is the pattern we see constantly. A family drives up from Rockwall or Sachse to shop the outlets. Three hours in, someone is hungry, or a kid needs a bathroom, or the car will not start, or somebody needs a pharmacy. They search on a phone. They pick from the first three map results. They will never think about your category in Allen again.

That is a one shot conversion window and it is decided almost entirely by your Google Business Profile. Not your website. Your profile. Whether your hours are right, whether your photos look current, whether you have enough recent reviews to look safe to a stranger, whether your category is set correctly so you even appear in the search at all.

A surprising number of Allen businesses within a mile of enormous foot traffic are invisible to it because of a settings problem that takes an afternoon to fix.

Allen is built out, and that changes your growth math

This is the part that separates Allen from Prosper or Little Elm. Allen is roughly 111,000 people and largely developed. There is no flood of new arrivals with no existing loyalties. The school district is the largest employer, followed by the city itself and Experian. It is a stable, established, comfortable place.

Stable is good for a business that already has customers. It is hard for one trying to take them. When a market is not growing, every new customer you win came from somewhere, which means from a competitor.

So the strategy shifts. You are not trying to be first to a new market. You are trying to be the obvious choice at the moment of switching, and switching happens for specific reasons: the other guy was booked, the other guy was rude, the other guy retired, the price went up. Content that speaks to those moments outperforms generic service pages by a wide margin here.

Youth sports is a real vertical in this city

Allen takes its athletics seriously and the economy around that is bigger than outsiders realize. Training facilities, physical therapy, sports medicine, orthodontists, team photographers, uniform and equipment shops, tutoring for student athletes, nutrition. Parents in this city research these decisions carefully and they ask each other before they search, which means reputation and search feed each other.

If you serve that market, reviews are not a nice to have. They are the product. We spend a lot of the engagement on getting a legitimate, terms compliant review process running, because in this niche a business with sixty honest reviews beats one with eight regardless of who has the better website.

What we actually do

  • Rebuild the Google Business Profile properly, starting with categories and service areas, which are wrong more often than not.
  • Fix the site fundamentals. Load speed, mobile layout, schema markup, internal links, the pages that return errors nobody knew about.
  • Build pages around the searches your buyers make, including the event and shopping driven ones if your location supports it.
  • Set up a review process you can actually maintain after we leave.
  • Report on phone calls, form submissions and direction requests. Those are revenue. Rankings are a leading indicator, not the goal.

A caution about the outlet traffic

Not every Allen business should chase visitor search. If you are a commercial roofer, an accountant or a B2B supplier, the family from Rockwall is worthless to you and optimizing for them is a waste of budget. We will tell you if that is the case. Roughly half the Allen businesses we talk to should be ignoring the regional traffic entirely and focusing on residents and neighboring commercial accounts.

Knowing which half you are in is most of the value of an audit.

Working together

We are based in Frisco, which is a short drive, and we meet clients in person in Allen. If you would rather do everything over email we can, but the first conversation goes better across a table.

There is more detail on our services and our pricing. We also work with businesses in McKinney, Plano and Frisco.
